La Piñata is a Mexican restaurant that was founded in 1983 in the city of Hayward, CA. It has now expanded to six locations in the Bay Area. We were lucky enough to enjoy a dinner at the Fremont, CA branch. Not only can you enjoy authentic Mexican meals, Tequila lovers can unite to enjoy a fine selection of Agave Tequila at their bars.
We started our meal off with horchata, a drink made with rice, sugar, and cinnamon. Their horchata beats all of the other spots I’ve had the drink at. The salsa and chips were there to bite on as we waited for our meal. The salsa was spicy. Finally, our meal came.
First was the carne asada chimichanga. I usually order tacos, but I wanted a change. The chimichanga was topped with sour cream and guacamole. Inside were tender bits of carne asada. We also ordered the carne asada taco dinner. The tacos were topped with fresh avocado slices, tomatoes, and onion. The tacos were served with rice and beans. It was a large serving and was very satisfying. Overall, La Piñata is a spot to go to if you’re craving for some Mexican food. Remember, to visit their website to see if you have one near you.
It’s a spot for dates because…
Tequila lovers can enjoy La Piñata’s fine selection of Agave Tequila. Mix that in with an authentic Mexican meal, and you’ll sure to have a great time.
