Cheers at Press Club – Foodbuzz & Featured Publisher Celebration

Congratulations to Foodbuzz and fellow Featured Publishers.

Foodbuzz has reached over 1 million blog posts, all of which were contributed with the help of dedicated foodies like us. Foodbuzz has also become the number 3 online website catering to food content. To celebrate this achievement, Foodbuzz hosted a spectacular food and wine event last night at Press Club in San Francisco. The celebration featured food from Chris L’Hommedieu, the Chef de Cuisine at Michael Mina. Tastings of select local Northern California wines were available to complement the food as well.

On the menu…

  • Shrio Ebi Shrimp Cocktail with Horseradish Panna Cotta & Meyer Lemon
  • Ahi Tuna Nicoise with Oven Dried Tomato & Quail Egg
  • Pork Rillette with Porcini Aioli & Pickled Honshimeji Mushrooms
  • Duck Confit Cassoulet with Flowering Thyme
  • Island Creek Oyster on the half shelf with Picked Ramp Granite
  • Steak Taretare with Crostini & Watercress
  • This was just a small sample of what to expect at Michael Mina. It just might be enough to make you want to try the full restaurant experience.

As for Press Club, you could describe it best as an urban wine bar. As you first step inside, you’ll notice the retail room filled with bottles of wine, books, and accessories. It’s when you make your way downstairs to the cellar you’ll be greeted with that urban chic vibe from Press Club. The chic décor is eye catching with wine bottles used to style up the place. There are several bars to walk up to and a grab glass of wine. If you want to kick back and relax a little, the lounge chairs and couches will help you off your feet. Press Club features a collection of wine from eight local Northern California wineries. They also feature a food pairings menu that has choices of small bites to cheeses that accompany their wine offerings.

Last night’s event was truly a celebration of accomplishment. A special thank you goes out to Foodbuzz, Chef Chris L’Hommedieu of Michael Mina, and the excellent staff of Press Club for making it all happen.

Sorry to have missed the swank event, but it coincided with my trip to NY. The food looks awesome, and I’m sure the company was a lot of fun.
