We’ve recently took our first camping trip here with a group of friends and had a great time. You just rent out a campsite, set your tents up, start up a camp fire, and “rough it out”. It was a pretty memorable experience.
Each campsite has enough room for a tent or two. There is a spot for you to start up a campfire. Remember to bring your own wood and matches or a lighter to start the fire. Having the campfire is great to keep warm on cold nights, cooking food on, and everyone’s favorite, smores. There’s also a picnic table at the campsite so you can have a place to gather around at.
Remember, we’re not experts when it comes to camping. Just make sure to bring the essentials with you on your trip. From water, sleeping bags, to lanterns, come up with a check list before you head out. Finally, don’t worry about having to “go” when nature calls. Campsites are close to bathrooms with running tap water. If you need to freshen up, there are showers that you can use. Hot water is available for a few quarters for a certain amount of time, so don’t forget to bring some change.
Don’t forget to call in advance to reserve a campsite. Spots fill up fast. The last thing you want to happen is you drive up there only to find out that all of the campsites have been rented out. If camping isn’t your thing, you could always just explore the park with a picnic and a hike for the day.
It’s a spot for dates because…
You are surrounded by nature. It’s relaxing and is a nice change from the busy city life.
Lando is finding new food spots.
