About Us
All for the love of food…
When we first launched this website, we had the vision to bring something to people who wanted new ideas for going out. Hence the name, Spots For Dates. It was created on a whim, but this site became a passion and outlet to document our dining experiences, wherever they may be.
A few years passed and I’ve seen this website evolve and grow. We still focus on the restaurant scene to give our readers an idea of how these places are, but expanded on other topics still related to food. I found that the website was another way for us to showcase food that we cook at home, provide highlights of local food events, and our opinions of food products.
Food photography also became another passion driven from Spots For Dates. I mean, what is a food blog without pictures? Before, I was more about just getting the shot, but now a little more thought goes into the composition of our pictures. It adds to the fun – it captures the moment in helping readers feel like they are with us.
Even with all of these changes, one thing still remains true… We don’t see ourselves as experts on food. We’re just here because we love it.
