Before we headed out to Monterey for a beach BBQ party, we needed to grab some breakfast. We gassed up a nearby gas station and passed by The Posh Bagel. A large banner said “Grand Opening”, so we figured to go check it out. The first thing I noticed was their selection of bagels on display. It reminded me of the ones at Noah’s, but The Posh Bagel seemed to have a broader selection.

They had a wide selection of sandwiches and bagels. Since it was breakfast time, we wanted to try their breakfast bagel and croissant sandwiches. Rose ordered a sesame seed bagel with egg and cheddar cheese. I ordered a croissant with ham, egg, and cheddar cheese. Both were ok for a quick breakfast bite. I’d rather stop by a local spot like this than grab fast food for breakfast. Well, sometimes. We were in a rush and grabbing an Egg McMuffin was out of the way.

The Posh Bagel is located in the Fremont Hub, in Fremont, CA. If you’re looking to meet up for a coffee or quick snack, come check out this spot. The place offers seating outside for an outdoor hangout if you wish.

I first remember hearing about Tea Station when I received a flyer in the mail. I have the habit of ignoring things like that. What a mistake. Until recently, we took a visit to Tea Station because of a late night craving for some food. It was about 11:00 at night and my younger brother, Lawrence, and Rose were craving for some pearl drinks. Lawrence is from Monterey, CA and pearl drinks there are rare.

So, we entered Tea Station. The first thing I noticed was how beautiful the place was. The place was really decorated nicely. It was very clean and welcoming. It made us want to sit there and enjoy our order, but it was late and they were closing. We decided to order to go.

We ordered green tea, milk tea with tapioca pearls, and an order of the squid ball snack. You can tell by the photos we took, I couldn’t wait to try the drink. It was very refreshing. It just might top my list of the best green tea I’ve had at these local spots. Lawrence enjoyed his pearl drink too. The best part was trying out the squid ball snacks. Again, these were great. They were seasoned with some garlic with brought out the flavor even more. Not bad for a late night snack spot.

My tip of the day? If you get a flyer in the mail about a new place, it might be worth checking out. Don’t do what I did because you just might miss out on a great spot.

Quickly is just one of those spots where you want to run in and grab a quick bite to eat. They do serve milk tea here which I am highly addicted to. I always order the fried combination meal. It comes with a little bag of fried tofu, fish ball, and chicken. The meal comes with green tea, but you can opt to upgrade to another flavored drink for a few cents more. With my craving of taro milk tea, you know that it is a must that I upgrade to it.

You’ll be surprised at the menu. There are plenty of flavors and combinations of ice to choose from. From snow to slush, rose tea to lychee tea, you will see it here. The choice of snacks is also pretty broad. They serve small snacks like the fried combination or you can get a sandwich with French fries.

I have only been to the Fremont, CA branch. I know that there are other Quickly locations. I looked at the cup and noticed that they have branches in many countries. The Fremont branch is quite small and café like. It is too cramped for my likings. They do have free wi-fi if you have your laptop or iPhone with you and want to surf the net while munching on your food. I always get the food to go. Enjoy it from home or head out and have a picnic with your date if you plan on going here.

Sometimes you’re just craving for a snack rather than a full meal. Quickly fills that craving with its long list of drinks and snacks to choose from.
